What does Bayberg’s Brain Booster do?

An all natural nootropic from Bayberg, Brain Booster is a supplement on the market that is claiming to promote:

  • Focus
  • Memory
  • Mental Clairty
  • Overall Cognitive Funciton

But how well does it really work?

In this review, we look closer at Brain Booster to see just how effective it really is, and if it’s worth the time and resources to invest in.

This is what you need to know:

What you need to know about Brain Booster’s stack:

Right off the bat:

There are a lot of ingredients in this product, to the point that it’s gratuitous. There’s just too much in there, it confuses Brain Booster’s overall aim.

Also, the majority of it is a proprietary blend, this means we don’t know how much of each ingredient we’re getting, or how effective it will be.

This is our run down of the main ingredients in this product and what you need to know about them:

Ingredients run-down (summarized at the end):

  • DMAE – Thought to prevent cognitive decline, however, there has been no reliable studies to support this.
  • L-Glutamine – May reduce sugar cravings, but studies have shown this unlikey unless you’re already deficient in it.
  • Green Tea – Could help burn fat, but will not help improve cognition.
  • Bacopa – A herb that has been seen to improve memory and cognition.
  • Choline – Found in egg yolks and helps boost learning ability.
  • Inositol – May treat insulin resistance, but won’t help with boosting overall cognition.
  • N-Acetyl Tyrosine – Anti-stress agent that promotes calmness and verall focus.
  • Bilberry Fruit – Could decrease blood glucose, but does not boost cognitive ability.
  • GABA – May induce anti-anxiety effects without drowsiness, however, oral supplementation has been seen to be unreliable.
  • Grapeseed Extract – Promotes blood flow, but not cognition.
  • Grapefruit Extract – A poor fat burner that has no effect on cognition, and even banned in some countries as a ‘novel food’.
  • Olive Leaf – May help regulate blood glucose, however this will not benefit you for cognitive function.
  • Cinnamon Bark – May help with digestion, but not with cognition.
  • Licorice Root – Used here for flavor, studies have shown licorice can actually increase stress and decrease testosterone.
  • Boron – Does not promtoe cognition, but may help regulate male hormone testosterone.
  • DHA – Fish oil, may help with joint health but will do very little for any cognitive suppport.
  • Vanadyl – Another blood-glucose regulator, it won’t help with cognition.
  • Posphatidyl – A better option that has been linked to improving memory, mood and preventing aganist cognitive decline.
  • Huperzine A – Promotes your ability to learn as well as preventing against cognitive decline.

Quick Overview: Let’s get real. This is a huge proprietary blend, and the majority of the nutrients don’t promote cognition.

There are some good choices in here like Tyrosine, Posphaitdyl and Huperzine A – but we don’t know how much is being used, and the majority of the nutrients used won’t have any effect.

It’s not a good choice, and definitely not the best we’ve seen.

Side Effects

Licorice rice has been linked to causing a rise in the stress hormone cortisol, and also risks lowering testosterone levels.

It’s not a great option to have the table when you’re trying to improve your mind and lifestyle.
