What does FocusMode do?
An all natural nootropic made by EVLUTION Nutrition, and is claimed to promote:
- Mental Performance
- Memory
- Mood
- Focus
- Energy
But how well does it really work?
In this review, we look closer at EVLUTION Nutrition’s FocusMode to see how effective it really is.
This is what we found:
What you need to know about the FocusMode Stack
Right off the bat:
It’s pretty weak. There’s only one ingredient in this product that will really have much of an effect – the L-Tyrosine.
We’ve done a full write up of what you can expect, check it out:
The Ingredients
Don’t worry. We’ve summarized it all further down.
Acetyl L-Tyrosine
An anti-stressor, and a good first ingredient.
Relieving the symptoms of stress and anxiety, L-Tyrosine is good for both sports and mental performance as it allows you to focus.
Guarana Seed Extract
A caffeinated herb.
Guarana may not the best idea for a nootropic.
Although caffeine improves focus, it has a terrible energy crash if you’re not careful with it.
The last thing you want is a noot reliant solely on caffeine – it should be able to stand on its own feet.
Alpha GPC
More a physical nootropic than a mental one.
Alpha GPC does have some evidence of increasing focus, however, for the most part it helps more with power output.
This may help you with more explosive power, rather than cognitive enhancement.
Choline Bitartrate
An okay choice.
Citicholine would’ve been better.
Choline may help to improve focus and learning but to a minor extent. It’s not as effective as it could be.
Theacrine
Structurally similar to caffeine – but nowhere near as effective.
Theacrine has been seen to be unreliable in studies when it comes to boosting cognition and energy levels.
It’s not that promising as a cognitive enhancer.
Sceletium Tortuosum
Believed to be a psychoactive herb.
The idea is that this nootropic may help reduce anxiety – however not much has been proven.
More research needs to be done into Sceletium before we can know for sure.
Huperzine A
Not a reliable choice.
Huperzine A has been thought to boost memory and focus – and it does have some effect. However, there’s a drawback.
Studies have shown that you grow tolerant to the effects quickly, which can stop it working.
It may need to be cycled and cannot be taken long term.
Quick Overview: All in all, this isn’t the best nootropic profile out there.
The only real thing to get excited about here is the L-Tyrosine.
Most of the other ingredients won’t have that much of an effect. Adding some bacopa and vinpocetine would definitely help spice up this noot.
Side Effects
There have been no side effects reported with FocusMode.
Is there anything better out there than this nootropic?

EVLUTION Nutrition FocusMode Review Conclusion
All in all, this isn’t the best nootropic out there.
From this review, this is what you need to know about FocusMode:
- Ineffective Ingredients: Many of the nutrients used lack clinical backing and reliability.
- Missing core nutrients: Bacopa, Vinpocetine, Citicholine all would’ve made a significant difference here.
All in all, it’s not your best option.
