What does MACHT Labs’ IQ Alpha Booster do?

From MACHT Labs comes IQ Alpha Booster, an all natural nootropic that has been claimed to promote:

  • Focus
  • Memory
  • Clarity

But how well does it really work?

In this review, we look closely at what goes into IQ Alpha Booster to see if it can help you with your goals.

If you’re considering using this nootropic – this is what you need to know:

What you need to know about IQ Alpha Booster’s stack:

Right off the bat:

The first problem with this nootropic is that it contains a heavy proprietary blend.

This mean we don’t know how much of each ingredient is being used, or if it’s been properly dosed.

This is an ‘easy-out’ for companies to use very little of the more effective (but expensive) ingredients and stock up high on the cheaper options.

It’s not a good sign.

Quick Overview: IQ Alpha Booster is caffeine-free, but it contains a large proprietary blend.

Here’s the run-down on the main ingredients, we’ve summarized it for you at the end:

A depressive neurotransmitter that may help calmness and focus – however, there’s a catch.

Although this may be good for staying calm in high-pressure situations, Gaba needs to cross the blood-brain barrier to work. Unfortunately, studies have shown it doesn’t work that effectively on it’s own.

It works better in nootropics that actively promote it like Phenibut. It won’t make much of a difference here.

Alpha-Lipoic Acid

ALA does not boost brain activity or help with energy.

There is some links to this amino acid promoting overall metabolism, but it’s not looking good. There are no reliable studies that can back up the claims.

Bacopa Monnieri

A better choice – especially when it comes to memory and anxiety.

Bacopa Monnieri is a plant that has been seen in numerous studies to support cognitive function. Improving memory and recall, while also helping to reduce anxiety. It’s a strong choice.

Found in animal tissue and linked to reducing fat mass.

However, the results of this nutrient actually working are unreliable. Even when injected the results are minimal. You will get very little effect from this addition.

For better results you need Phosphatidylserine – it’s meat and soy-free cousin, this has stronger studies and better memory benefits.

Most often found in beauty creams for its anti-aging effects. It’s rarely used in supplements.

DMAE was thought at one point to reduce cognitive decline, however studies have shown it has no positive, or negative effects when used.

Eleuthero Extract

Also known as Siberian Ginseng, this nootropic has been thought to reduce stress and support the immune system.

It has been seen in one study to prevent against cognitive decline to a minor extent – however, nothing major was achieved. It won’t have much of an effect.

Ginko Biloba Extract

A herb that has been touted on numerous occasions to help with overall brain health – however, it’s not that clear cut.

Although thought to boost cognition, studies have shown that this effect isn’t actually that reliable. Little is achieved taking this nootropic.

From the periwinkle plant, and a good addition to this lacking stack.

Vinpocetine has been seen in various studies to help enhance blood flow, and is also linked to boosting memory. It should have some positive effects if MACHT Labs have dosed the proprietary blend correctly.

A cognitive enhancer that is linked to both learning and and fighting cognitive decline.

Huperzine-A is a compound that keeps you sharp. It helps prevent against certain parts of your brain that promote learning from degrading. It’s a good addition, should promote your ability to learn.

Quick Overview: The ingredients in MACHT Labs’ IQ Alpha Booster aren’t that great. There are numerous nutrients that have been added that don’t have any effect when it comes to cognitive enhancement.

There are some good choices like Huperzine-A, Vinpocetine, and Bacopa – but that’s it. You may get some memory benefit, but wth it being a proprietary blend, it’s unclear that there’ll be enough for it to work.

There are better stacks out there.

The Side Effects

There have been no side effects reported with this IQ Alpha Booster.

MACHT Labs IQ Alpha Booster Review Summary

On the whole this isn’t a great nootropic, and there are several reasons why it falls short of the mark.

If you’re considering buying IQ Alpha Booster, this is what you need to know:

  1. Proprietary Blend: You don’t know how much of each ingredient is being used, or how effective it will be.
  2. Many ineffective ingredients: Nutrients used in this nootropic lack clinical backing, and don’t align with the claims.
  3. Missing Core Nutrients: Citicoline, Tyrosine, L-Theanin all would’ve been useful in this product.

It’s not the best product that we recommend.
