What does NEU Nootropic Boost do?

NEU is a nootropic ‘think drink’ manufactured by NEU Mind.

This is an all natural nootropic that has been claimed to promote:

  • Motivation
  • Focus
  • Mood

But just how effective is it really?

In this review, we look closer at the ingredient, effectiveness and side effects of NEU to see how good it actually is.

This is what you need to know:

What you need to know about the NEU Nootropic Boost stack:

Right off the bat:

You only get 12 in a pack – this means it’s not a nootropic that you can use everyday – unless you want to spend a more money.

Plus the ingredients are lacking, with many of the core nutrients needed for optimum cognitive enhancement missing from this product.

NEU’s Ingredients

We’ve summarized it all at the end.

Not a great cognitive enhancer. More of a sports supplement.

Acetyl-L-Carnitine has been seen to largely improve metabolism and energy levels – not so much mental performance.

An anti-stress amino acid.

L-Tyrosine has been seen to help reduce anxiety, and lower overall stress levels.

This is great for improving focus, clarity and throughout the day.

Citicholine would’ve been better.

This is a component that has been seen to increase learning and focus.

However, it’s not the best option. Citicholine would be better.

A poor choice.

DMAE is regularly used in beauty creams – and it’s entered the nootropic market.

Thought to help prevent cognitive decline, although no studies have proved that it works.

Plus, it’s also been linked to having side effects.

Another great amino acid that helps improve focus and calmness.

Found in green tea, L-Theanine promote downer chemicals in your brain without fatigue such as GABA, serotonin and dopamine.

This gives you an enhanced attention span, and focus.

It also helps lengthen the effects of caffeine.

A good natural stimulant – but not an honest cognitive enhancer.

Although linked to improving energy and focus – effects of caffeine fade quickly.

You’re not improving the facilities of your brain, you’re just stimulating it. Plus after the effects have worn off – there’s a risk of an energy crash.

The fatigue that follows can easily break your focus.

Alpha GPC

One of the more exercised based nootropics.

Although alpha GPC has been linked to raising cognitive ability, there also be some use in it being applied to exercise.

Studies have shown that it may help improve power output.

One of the better nootropics out there.

PS has been seen to deliver 4 main benefits when supplemented effectively.

It can help improve mood, memory, focus and even help against cognitive decline.

Quick Overview: On the whole, this isn’t a great nutrient profile.

A lot of the core nutrients needed for optimal cognition boosting are missing from this product – and there’s also a risk of side effects due to the DMAE.

Rhodiola Rosea, Vinpocetine, Bacopa – these all would’ve been good choices in NEU Nootropic Boost – there are better options out there.

Side Effects

The main concern in NEU is the DMAE.

Research has shown that this nootropic may cause birth defects in expectant mothers.

The full extent of DMAE’s negative aspects are still unknown. More research has to be done. Meaning there could be even more risks.

Given the fact that it’s not that effective for cognition in the first place, we advise against it.

Is there anything better out there than this Nootropic?

We’ve done the research, looked at the studies and are more than familiar with the nootropics market – and it’s led us to the best ones on the market.
