What does Neurolon do?
Made by a company of the same name, Neurolon is an all natural nootropic that has been claimed to promote;
- Focus
- Memory
- Mental Performance
- Clarity
But how well does it really work?
In this review, we look closer at Neurolon to see how effective it really is.
This is what you need to know:
What you need to know about the Neurolon Stack:
There are some good ingredients – but there’s a catch.
It’s a proprietary blend. This means you don’t know how much of each ingredient you’re getting, or how effective it will be overall.
It’s not a reliable choice – not only that, we’ve noticed it may even cause side effects. Here’s what you need to know:
The Ingredients
We’ve prepared a summary at the end.
Bacopa
One of the better nootropics out there.
Bacopa is one our recommended nootropic stack nutrients.
With its ability to raise focus, memory and general mental performance. Bacopa is a great addition to this product.
Phosphatidylserine
Another good choice for any nootropic.
PS has been seen in numerous studies to promote 4 benefits: Focus, Memory, Mood and prevention against cognitive decline.
It’s a good natural brain booster.
Ginkgo
This nutrient however, isn’t really effective at all.
There has been thought that Ginkgo Biloba may promote cognitive function – but the studies behind it say otherwise.
There have been several studies done on Ginkgo with very mixed results – working for some, but not for others.
Researchers have even suggested that the benefits of Ginkgo may even be placebo.
DHA
Fish oil, full of healthy fatty acids.
This is good for overall health, including brain health, but won’t make a significant effect on your cognitive ability.
DMAE
One of the worst natural nootropics.
DMAE was originally used in beauty creams, but eventually branched out into the nootropic market.
But what does it actually do?
Thought to reduce cognitive decline, studies have shown that DMAE can cause several side effects – more on that in the next section.
Ginseng
Not a good nootropic – but may help with blood flow.
Ginseng is linked to boosting your body’s supply of nitric oxide – this is a vasodilator.
It may help with nutrient flow, getting the stack around your system quicker – however it will have no effect on cognition.
Glutamine
Not a good choice.
Although there’s a lot of mention of Glutamine in brain boosting – the main thing it does is reduce sugar cravings.
However these benefits only really work if you’re already deficient in glutamine.
It won’t have any cognitive benefits.
Vinpocetine
A better choice.
From the periwinkle plant, Vinpocetine has been seen to help with memory and circulation.
Huperzine
A poorer choice.
Huperzine may have some cognitive benefits – but there’s a huge drawback.
It needs to be cycled.
Long term use of this nootropic can lead to tolerance issues, with effects wearing off quickly after regular use.
Quick Overview: This is not the best nootropic stack out there.
Although there are some good ingredients – there are also some not so good ones (DMAE and Huperzine A to name just a few).
On top of this, Neurolon is a proprietary blend – You don’t know how much of each ingredient you’re getting in this product, or how effective it will be overall.
It’s not a good choice.
Side Effects
Your main problems here are the risks associated with DMAE.
More research is being done into just how dangerous it is. Studies have shown that use of DMAE can lead to birth defects in expecting mothers.
And they think there may be even more dangers.
Research is being done, but as far as we can tell – DMAE is a big no-no.
Is there anything better out there than this Nootropic?
Definitely.
We’ve done the research, looked at the studies and are more than familiar with the nootropics market – and it’s led us to the best ones on the market.

Neurolon Review Conclusion
All in all, this isn’t a great nootropic.
From this review, here’s what you need to know about Neurolon;
- Proprietary Blend – None of the ingredient dosages have been disclosed in this product, it could be incredibly under-dosed.
- Potential Side Effects – DMAE has been seen to cause side effects.
- Ineffective ingredients – Many of the nutrients used lack clinical backing or need to be cycled.
On the whole this just isn’t a great choice.
