What does Nutratech Ampedrin do?

Made by Nutratech, this is an all natural nootropic claimed to promote:

  • Energy
  • Memory
  • Clarity

But how well does it really work?

In this review, we look closer at Ampedrin to see how effective it really is.

This is what you need to know:

What you need to know about the Ampedrin stack:

It’s one big proprietary blend.

Is this a problem? Yes.

A proprietary blend is when the manufacturer chooses to hide the values of each individual ingredient in favor of putting them under one big dosage.

This means you don’t know how much of each ingredient you’re getting, or how effective it will be overall.

There’s also a range of ingredients that may cause side effects.

Here’s what you need to know about the core ingredients:

The Ingredients

Don’t worry. We’ve summarized it all at the end.

Caffeine

Not your best choice for a nootropic.

Caffeine has been seen in numerous studies to help raise focus, wakefulness and energy.

But the effects however, are short lived.

As a stimulant, the benefits of caffeine are completely temporary and may leave you tired and fatigued shortly after.

It’s not a good option – especially as you don’t know how much you’re getting of this nutrient.

DMAE

One of the poorer options.

DMAE was thought to work to help reduce cognitive decline – but studies have shown it isn’t that effective.

In fact, this nutrient has been seen to even cause side effects.

More on what those are later.

Beta PEA

Also known as Phenylethylamine.

This is an amino acid that has been thought to promote happy hormones like serotonin and dopamine.

However studies have shown that the nutrient is broken down too quickly to have an effective impact.

Synephrine

One of the worst options for a nootropic stack.

Marketed to help burn fat and raise energy levels – the actual research into Synephrine shows a much different result.

This nutrient has been tied to causing various irritating side effects – especially when combined with caffeine.

We’ll cover more on what these are later.

CDP-Choline

Also known as Citicholine, and one of the better brain boosters.

CDP-Choline has been seen to increase learning, focus and just overall cognition – all while reducing anxiety.

L-Theanine

This is one of the better choices in a stack.

L-Theanine helps to promote hormones like GABA and Serotonin – the good calming hormones.

This helps keep you calm and relaxed, and has even been seen to reduce the jitters associated with caffeine.

Hordenine

A fat burner – not a cognitive enhancer.

Hordenine has been met with mixed results in studies, with some claiming it helps to reduce fat, whereas others claim it has no impact.

It’s not that great of an option – nor does it promote cognition.

Vinpocetine

A better cognitive enhancer.

Vinpocetine has been seen to increase memory recall, and also to improve blood flow.

Overall it’s a fantastic option.nutratech-ampedrin-results

Quick Overview: As you can see, this isn’t your best option in a pre made nootropic stack.

The first problem is the proprietary blend – you don’t know how much of each ingredient or whether it has been effectively dosed.

The second problem are some of the choices for it – caffeine, DMAE and Synephrine being the worst offenders. They may cause side effects and will definitely have an impact on your cognition.

It’s not a good choice.

Side Effects

There are three main worries here; the caffeine, DMAE and Synephrine.

Caffeine has been seen to raise focus and energy levels – but it has been known to cause energy crashes, which causes fatigue and lessens focus.

DMAE has reports of causing birth defects in expecting mothers – and the negative effects are still being researched. There may be even more bad news to this nutrient.

Synephrine on the other hand, has a range of side effects. Reports have shown it to cause:

  • Headaches
  • Nausea
  • Dizziness
  • Higher Heart Rate
  • Risk of Higher Blood Pressure

It’s definitely not your best option.

  • Potential Side Effects – Many of the nutrients used may cause side effects.
