Off to a bad start – this is one of the poorer brain boosters on the market.
Despite claims, there have been no studies to confirm the cognitive benefit of Ginkgo Biloba.
Not only that the evidence for it is so lacking that researchers believe any perceived effects may be entirely placebo.
A much better choice.
Phosphatidylserine is one of the core natura cognitive boosters on the market.
It has been reported to have 4 main benefits; memory, mood, focus and prevention of cognitive decline.
It’s a great addition to any cognitive booster.
A poorer option.
L-Carnitine is an amino acid that has been seen to help raise energy levels and metabolism – it may also to a mild degree improve cognition.
That said, there’s an issue with it in Brain Nitrous – there’s only 50mg.
Studies have shown to have any decent effects you need anywhere between 500 – 2500mg. With only a tenth of the minimum requirement – you’re not going to notice much difference here.
St. John’s Wort
Another risky choice.
St. John’s Wort has been seen in numerous studies to help with mood and reduce overall anxiety.
However, studies have shown, there are various ‘come-down’ effects with this nutrient that can lead to certain side effects after use.

L-Glutamine’s main function is to reduce sugar cravings – but only when the user is deficient in the amino acid.
There are a lot of foods, mainly dairy products that contain L-Glutamine – and very few are deficient in it.

However, Huperzine A definitely isn’t a good choice.
Extracted mainly from Club Moss, Huperzine A has been seen to have some mild effect on cognition – but there’s a drawback.
Studies have shown the effect of this nutrient are fleeting. You can build up a tolerance to it rather quickly, which leads to the nutrient becoming ineffective.

It’s good that Brain Nitrous has the staples like Bacopa and Phosphatidylserine – but is it worth the side effects you may get from the St. John’s Wort and DMAE?
