What does DVK Medicals Brain Storm do?
Produced by DVK Medicals, Brain Storm is an all natural nootropic that has been claimed to:
- Support Mental Performance
- Improve Clarity
- Boost Memory
- Increase Focus
- Strengthen Brain Health
But just how well does it work?
In this review, we look closer at Brain Power to see just how effective it really is.
This is what we’ve found:
What you need to know about the Brain Storm stack:
Right off the bat:
There may be side effects.
Although there are some good ingredients in here, on the whole it’s not looking good.
DVK Medicals Brain Storm Ingredients
Here’s our full rundown of what you can expect in this product – we’ve summarized it at the end:
Ginkgo Biloba
Originally thought to be an effective nootropic, but this is no longer the case.
Studies have shown the effects delivered by Ginkgo Biloba are minimal. There are real cognitive effects from this nootropic other than placebo.
Phosphatidylserine
One of the better choices.
PS has been seen in numerous studies to help promote mood, memory, focus and even help prevent cognitive decline.
It’s a preferred choice for any stack.
L-Carnitine
Not a great choice.
L-Carnitine is thought to have some cognitive benefit, but on the whole it’s minimal.
It’s mainly used to boost energy and metabolism – and that only works if you’re using 500mg or higher per serving.
It’s been used poorly here.
St. John’s Wort
Another poor choice.
Although St. John’s Wort does offer some benefit to help treat depression and anxiety – this comes at a cost.
Subjects have reported various side effects associated with St. John’s Wort shortly after use.
More details on that in the side effects section later.
DMAE
Another bad stack ingredient.
DMAE was once thought to help reduce cognitive decline – unfortunately studies have proved otherwise.
Not only that, reports have also come out detailing various side effects from using this nutrient. More details further down.
L-Glutamine
This offers no real cognitive benefit.
Used to reduce sugar cravings in those already deficient in the amino acid.
From a nootropic point of view, it’s going to do nothing for you here.
Bacopa
One of the better choices.
Bacopa has been seen to promote memory and focus, all while reducing cognitive decline,
For a noot stack, it’s an excellent addition.
Vinpocetine
Another solid choice.
Vinpocetine has been seen in various studies to help with the promotion of memory and blood flow.
This is good for keeping the nutrients circulating throughout your system, while keeping you sharp at the same time.
Huperzine-A
May promote learning and prevent against cognitive decline.
However, studies have shown that the effects are unreliable – and that you may build up a tolerance to it.
It’s recommended that you need to cycle this nutrient. You shouldn’t take it full time.
Quick Overview: On the whole, this isn’t a great nootropic.
There are some ingredients in here like bacopa, but there are some more ineffective ones in the mix – and even some side effects,
If you’re looking for safe and effective cognitive enhancement. This isn’t the best stack by far.
Side Effects
The main thing you have to worry about here are the St. John’s Wort and the DMAE.
Although effective for depression and anxiety, here are the side effects that follow up St. John’s Wort:
- Restlessness
- Anxiety
- Irritability
- Fatigue
- Dry Mouth
- Stomach Problems
- Headaches
- And more
Whereas DMAE, which isn’t that much of an effective noot to begin with, has been linked to causing birth defects in expecting mothers.
Research is still being done.
Be careful with this noot.

Brain Storm Review Conclusion
All in all, this isn’t a great nootropic.
From this review, considering Brain Storm is a bad move, there are plenty of better options out there. Here’s why:
- Ineffective ingredients: Some of the nutrients used in this nootropic are under-dosed and lack clinical backing for cognitive enhancement.
- Potential Side Effects: Both DMAE and St John’s Wort have been linked to causing side effects.
On the whole it’s not your best option.
